How To Get Certified
The National RV Training Academy is the only approved training program for becoming a certified RV Inspector. Training is held in-person in Athens, Texas and is completed over a three week period. The Saturday following your third week of class will include a written exam for NRVIA Certification. This exam fee is $299 and is billed separately from your course tuition. Upon passing the exam, your NRVIA membership is good for one year and will provide you with the credentials you need to establish your RV inspection business.
To assist you in developing your RV Inspection business you will also be encouraged to participate in a Business Development sequence of sessions to help you develop your small business entity and prepare to operate your very own small business as an RV Inspector. These training sessions will also be available inside the NRVIA member’s area.
The NRVIA Certification Exam will cover topics from your three weeks of training. Questions will include:
- RV Technical Knowledge & Skills – the key RV systems, appliances, structural integrity, and general knowledge pertinent to the construction and expectations of the recreational vehicles being inspected.
- NRVIA Standards of Practice & Code of Ethics – the minimum requirements of an RV Inspection and the Ethics required of an RV Inspection professional.
